Britney Spears fled Los Angeles with her new boy toy, photographer Adnan Ghalib. The troubled singer and her man landed in Mexico Wednesday. They checked into the Rosarito Beach Hotel around 3 p.m. according to a Mexican newspaper.
The paper says Spears and Ghalib were accompanied be a group of friends. Spears and Ghalib hit a gift shop where the singer bought an imitation Gucci bag. “She looked serious and haggard. She didn’t have makeup on,” said the sales clerk.
According to reports, Spears fled Los Angeles to prevent an intervention from her family. The Spears’ were reportedly planning a “creative” intervention hoping Britney would agree to seek medical attention. Sources say they are “prepared to use force” if necessary.
Spears was hospitalized last Thursday after a custody standoff with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. She was placed on lockdown for mental evaluation but was released Saturday morning. Spears was stripped of her visitation rights until a hearing on January 14.
