Long time actress Julie Christie, whose acting credits include Darling, Doctor Zhivago, Shampoo, Afterglow and Finding Neverland, captured the 2008 Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Actress for her role in Away From Her on Jan. 7.
Christie won an Academy Award in 165 for her role as Diana Scott in the film Darling.
Among the nominees Christie beat for the 2008 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress were Amy Adams, Enchanted; Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth: The Golden Age; Marion Cotillard, La Vie en Rose; Angelina Jolie, A Mighty Heart; and Ellen Page, Juno.
