Britney Spears’ family is reportedly planning an intervention to get the troubled singer to agree to get medical help. Sources say the family is prepared to use force if Spears doesn’t agree.
Insiders allege Britney’s mother and father are considering a “number of options.” Several legal actions could be taken to force the singer into a mental hospital but the family is believed to feel that it would be a last option.
Spears was recently put on a 5150 hold, which means she can be held by doctors against her will for up to 72 hours . The 26-year-old was put on such a hold Thursday night after she locked herself in a bathroom with one of her two sons. She refused to return the boys to their father Kevin Federline.
Spears was released on Saturday morning after doctors ruled that she was not a danger to herself or to others. She was stripped of her visitation rights until a hearing on January 14.
