let's get it on?

Happy Friday! Hang in there...the day's almost over.

Today's Internet buzz is all about this study, which concludes that "sexual stereotypes, in which guys want to go for it and gals tend to resist, don't hold when romantic feelings come into play."

The findings, published in a recent issue of the journal "Sex Roles" -- give me a subscription, now -- basically say that once in a committed romantic relationship, men and women share similar attitudes about sex.

Do you agree?

I, for one, have never seen this happen. Sure, partners generally lose their desire to experiment and hook up with other people, but I think in every relationship there's always one partner who's more liberal about sex than the other.

And, when partners are perfectly in line sexually, there's sometimes another component of the relationship that's failing.

While useful, studies like this risk igniting relationship conflicts -- when one partner feels guilty for having a stronger sex drive than the other.

What do you think? Do couples' sexual desires line up as a relationship progresses? And how much sexual incompatibility would you be willing to tolerate, assuming all other aspects of a romantic relationship were perfect?
